Global Partnerships Through Photography and Storytelling

Our photography collaborations are among our most active efforts. What began with a single visit to Azerbaijan has gradually expanded to include projects in Mongolia, Latvia, Uruguay, Romania, and Botswana.

The Global Neighborhood Project connects San Diego photographers with communities around the world to capture everyday life and culture. These collaborations have led to photo books, exhibits, and documentary storytelling that help each side see the other—without filters, politics, or agendas. In select cases, creatives from abroad have also shared their perspective on San Diego through images and informal exchange.

Why Photography?

Because a single image can build empathy, preserve culture, and spark dialogue between strangers.
